Africa-Press – Angola. The Pyramids Football Club from Egypt made history by winning their first African Champions League, beating South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in the second leg of the final, played on Sunday at the 30 June Stadium, in Cairo.

The first leg between the two ended in a 1-1 draw, played in Pretoria at the Mamelodi Sundowns stadium.

With this victory, the Pyramids become the fourth Egyptian team to win the Champions League Cup, joining Al-Ahly Sporting Club, Zamalek Sports Club and Ismaily Sporting Club.

In turn, Sundowns, who won this tournament in 2016, are qualified to participate in the Clubs World Cup, which will be held in the United States of America (USA).
