Africa-Press – Angola. An exhibition of arts and photographs, under the motto “With Neto’s Ideals, We Build a Strong and Dynamic Economy”, has been on display since last Friday (13), at the Cultural Space of the Embassy of Angola in Brazil.

Opened by ambassador Manuel Eduardo Bravo, the exhibition portrays important moments in the life and work of Agostinho Neto, as part of the celebrations of September 17th, National Hero’s Day.

When speaking on the occasion, the diplomat highlighted the importance of the act because, as he said, “Agostinho Neto is a national and universal heritage that must be remembered by everyone and always”, reports a note.

For the Angolan ambassador, Agostinho Neto was a vital protagonist in the struggle to achieve National Independence and a precursor of diplomacy leading to the liberation of Namibia and Zimbabwe and the eradication of apartheid.

The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Brazil, as well as Angolan and Brazilian citizens residing in Brasília.
