Africa-Press – Angola. Banco Angolano de Investimentos (BAI) has a financing line available called “Crédito Campanha Agrícola/2024”, valued at 43 billion kwanzas, to support farmers who already operate in the sector, with emphasis on grain production and cereals in the next agricultural season.
The amount of financing for each project is up to Kz 500 million, and amounts greater than this must be submitted for approval, according to a press release sent this Thursday.
In a note, BAI clarifies that for the individual analysis of the amount to be financed, the company’s proven needs will be taken into account, to pay expenses for the preparation of land intended for the cultivation of grains and cereals.
According to this Bank, customers who have not strictly and rigorously complied with the exchange rate rules in force in the country will be subject to joining the respective financing line.
This financing also conditions clients with pending processes proving the entry of goods and services into Angola, as well as those awaiting a decision on tax litigation processes.
However, customers interested in financing should contact the nearest BAI branch.
Banco Angolano de Investimentos is the first private financial institution to operate on the Angolan Debt and Securities Exchange (BODIVA) as a publicly-held limited liability company, being a commercial bank specialized in granting credit.
