Festi Ndalatando Attracts Crowds to Dinizes Stadium

Africa-Press – Angola. The Dinizes stadium in Ndalatando, the capital of Cuanza-Norte, was too small to accommodate “thousands” of residents from different parts of the province to watch the “Festi Ndalatando”, a musical show that brought together several musicians from the national and local squares on Tuesday.

The show, which commemorated the 69th anniversary of the elevation of the former Vila Salazar to city status, was sponsored by the local government in partnership with C-calas Eventos.

The national square featured artists such as Yannick Afroman, Noite e Dia, Baló Januário, MC Cabinda, Rei Loy, Coronel Watara, Aricel Machado, Ney Chique and Mirelson King, the first-born of the well-known kuduro general staff, Nagrelha dos Lambas.

From the lineup, 22 were selected for the show, which lasted until dawn, with highlights for the golungo singers Sister Cristina and Brother Jerónimo, Baila Njinga, Mac Cabral, Edmilson from Ngonguembo, the Minangos from Golungo Alto, General Depy from Bolongongo, Mapa from Kuduro and prophet Joel.In his characteristic style, Baló Januário, despite being a regular at several editions of the city of Ndalatando festivals, performed songs that got everyone going.

His performance, followed by a fireworks display, was warmly applauded.

The author of the hits “Azar da Belita” and “Na Casa da Mana” expressed his gratitude for the affection he has always received from the people of Cuanza-Norte.

Maurício Manuel, one of the spectators in the audience, considered that the show was a cultural event with lots of excitement and joy, an event that “will go down in the annals of the city’s history”.Isabel Jorge, another spectator, also expressed a similar opinion, regretting some interruptions that marked the show due to technical failures. She stressed that the failures, such as blackouts on stage while musicians were performing, took away the shine and broke the momentum of the show. In the audience, emotions took over the spectators and for many it was a show that exceeded all expectations, bringing people from several municipalities in the province to the old Dinizes stadium to see and applaud their idols. Among the spectators in the audience, it is worth highlighting the presence of the governor of Cuanza-Norte, João Diogo Gaspar, accompanied by some members of the Government.
