Africa-Press – Angola. The management of Clube Desportivo 1o de Agosto has paid the fine imposed on it by the Disciplinary Council of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), in light of the case of alleged corruption.

The information was recently provided by the vice-president for football of the “military” formation, Paulo Magueijo, indicating that the fine of 176 thousand Kwanzas (one hundred and seventy-six thousand kz) was deposited in the FAF treasury.

He recognized that the measure applied to the club by the governing body of the sport in the country is legitimate and that no appeal will be presented.

“As soon as we heard the audio, we informed the FAF to rule out any involvement,” he said.

According to the director, in statements to radio 5, the failure to comply with FAF correspondence was the result of a cyber attack that targeted the club’s communication system, as the response was not given in a timely manner.

The situation arises from the leak of an audio on social media in which the Académica do Lobito technician, Agostinho Tramagal, claims to have received amounts from Petro and Kabuscorp to falsify results.

Tramagal reveals details about Académica do Lobito’s victory over 1o de Agosto, by 1-0, and highlights having received amounts from Petro and Kabuscorp to falsify results.

However, with the recent reception by the FAF Jurisdictional Council of an appeal with suspensive effect, Petro de Luanda, Kabuscorp do Palanca and academica do Lobito are free to participate in competitions until granted.

Petro was penalized for two years, and the Palanca and Lobito teams were relegated, while Bento Kangamba, president of Kabuscorp, and Agostinho Tramagal, from Académica do Lobito, were suspended for four years from all sporting activities.

The national champion was penalized for failing to comply with the duty of collaboration to which he is bound with the FAF, within the scope of the disciplinary process initiated, and the others (Académica and Kabuscorp) for acts of corruption.
