Government of Lunda Norte highlights the humanism of businessman Monteiro Capunga

Africa-Press – Angola. The government of Lunda Norte highlighted Thursday, the humanism, patriotism and dedication of businessman Monteiro Capunga in the efforts aimed at consolidating social harmony.

Born in the municipality of Marimba, province of Malanje, the businessman and former deputy to the National Assembly died on the 12th of this month, in Portugal, due to illness.

In a condolence note the Government of Lunda Norte emphasizes the dedicated work of the deceased in favor of improving and bringing social services closer to the population, with emphasis on the means of communication, in addition to its commitment to the causes of his party (MPLA) and confidence in the development of his homeland.

“At this time of pain and mourning, on behalf of the governor of Lunda Norte, Deolinda Satula Vilarinho, and the government of this province, we bow before the unfortunate event and address the bereaved family, the Malanji business class, the MPLA Provincial Committee and to the Provincial Government of Malanje, the deepest feelings of regret”, reads the document.

On another note, deputy João Diogo Gaspar regrets the businessman’s physical passing and recognizes his “peculiar qualities” and his contribution in pursuing various actions in favor of the well-being of the Angolan population, with particular emphasis on that of Malanje.

The Provincial Executive Secretariat of OMA highlights the simplicity of Monteiro Capunga and his permanent concern for others.

In the document, the female branch of the MPLA underlines that the former deputy was an exemplary and outstanding MPLA militant, who with pride carried out the functions entrusted to him in the various stages of his life.

Meanwhile, the businessman’s death is also felt by the local business class, which highlights his achievements in favor of boosting business in Malanje.

According to businessmen Artur Santos and Augusto José, the deceased was a man of integrity, generous and concerned with solving the problems of the province.

Joining the pain of loss, men of sport in Malanje, who characterize the also former chairman of the Provincial Football Association (APF), between the years 2012 and 2016, as a man who did a lot for sport in the province , whose loss represents a heavy blow.

The president of Ritondo Sport Club, Damião Tchimbuta, remembers Monteiro Capunga as a man who worked hard to spread football in the province, so that the clubs could survive and evolve into the biggest showcase of the sport in the country.

In line with this, the general secretary of Malanje Sport Clube, José Kolocota, considers that the province has lost a good man and an outstanding supporter of football.

According to the burial program, Monteiro Pinto Capunga will be buried on Monday (21), in the municipality of Marimba.
