Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Cabinda (Angola), Mara Quiosa, held this Wednesday, in the Congolese territory of Loango, a meeting with the mayor of the Department of Kouilou (Congo), Paul Adam, with a view to strengthening “good neighborly” relations between the two locations.
At the center of the meeting, among other cross-border crimes, were matters related to illegal immigration, combating fuel and wood smuggling, as well as violation of the seas, especially for illegal fishing.
Mara Quiosa heads a delegation made up of provincial secretaries of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Fisheries, Health, economic development and heads of defense and security bodies, as well as municipal administrators from Belize and Cacongo.
For Thursday, the delegation has booked a meeting with the mayor of Ponta-Negra, Alexandre Paka.
The aim is to find solutions aimed at helping any negative situations along the land, sea and river borders between Cabinda and the Congolese regions of Kouilou, Ponta-Negra and Niari.
