Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan government has provided 200 million kwanzas for the second phase of the Massification of Micro-credit project, within the scope of the Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI), in Bengo province.
Of this amount, 75 percent is earmarked for financing agribusiness, with emphasis on Planagrão, Planapescas and Planapecuária, while 25 percent is for trade.
The value also aims to formalize the economic agents (street vendors and traders) who operate in the market in the province of Bengo, informed friday, in Panguila, Caxito, the director of the Provincial Office for Integrated Economic Development, Pedro Katende, in the act that marked the beginning of the second phase of the PREI.
In the first phase of the PREI, which ended in July this year, the province of Bengo benefited from 100 million Kwanzas and more than eight thousand operators were registered. Of this figure, two thousand applied for funding.
At this stage, 64 economic agents in Bengo were financed with a value of 93 million 395 thousand Kwanzas and with this financing 51 jobs were created.
Of the 64 operators, 35 are women and 29 are men (young people aged between 18 and 35 years).
The administrator of the Fundo Activo de Capital de Risco Angolano, FACRA, Simão Cardoso, informed that he has six billion Kwanzas available for the second phase of the PREI, against the 4 billion allocated in the first phase, which benefited more than 4 thousand economic operators across the country.
The Fundo Activo de Capital de Risco Angolano (FACRA) signed contracts with four operators, namely Kixicredito, Williete, Nespecred and Kacem to operationalize the PREI.
Nespecred and Kacem are already working on the PREI process, in Bengo province, he said.
