Governor announces reinforcement of the evaluation system for public agents

Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Zaire, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, announced this Monday in Mbanza Kongo that the performance of local public agents will henceforth be evaluated annually.

When intervening in the act of taking office of the new civil servants, admitted in the 2022 tender, the official advanced that the human resources sector of the local Government will send, in a timely manner, the individual performance evaluation sheets.

Adriano Mendes de Carvalho said that there is a recommendation, at the level of public administration in the country, for the implementation of the biometric control system on civil servants, in order to banish certain indecent practices.

He highlighted, as one of the behaviors that compromise the functioning of local public institutions, the constant absence from the workplace without prior authorization from the competent authorities, especially on weekends and long holidays.

He also referred to the disrespect of professional ethics and deontology by certain public agents, translated into the leak of information, insults, defamation and other inadvisable practices.

Therefore, it appealed to the 118 new employees to observe, with high rigor, professional ethics and deontology, attendance, punctuality and efficiency in the exercise of their activities.

At the time, 31 senior technicians, 45 third-class middle technicians, 18 typists clerks, a second-class administrative assistant, 21 second-class skilled workers took office.

The list also includes two unskilled second-class workers, all admitted to the public entrance exam for the year 2022 held in the region.

The young Manuel José Nsoki, placed in the Municipal Administration of Nzeto, as a second-class senior technician, undertook to comply with the professional ethics and deontology that governs public service.

Rogério António, a lawyer who will carry out his activities in the municipality of Nóqui, recognized that it was a great challenge, and therefore promised to comply with the regulations governing civil service in the country.

In turn, Nzuzi Maciela, hired in the municipality of Mbanza Kongo, in the administrative area, said she felt committed to working towards continuous improvement in the provision of services to the population.

The swearing in of new civil servants, which took place in the amphitheater of the second local government building, was witnessed by members of this sector.
