Africa-Press – Angola. A total of 51 citizens from Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were questioned and detained on Tuesday in the province of Cabinda for attempted border violation.
The illegal immigrants were questioned by Border Guard Police officers stationed at the border posts of Yema, Massabi, Chiobo, and Yabi.
In a press release sent in Cabinda on Wednesday, the National Police reported that they were taken to the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) in the region for the appropriate procedures.
The province of Cabinda shares a vast land, river, and sea border with the DRC and Congo.
