Africa-Press – Angola. President João Lourenço traveled to the province of Cuando on Tuesday, one of the three newly created provinces, following the country’s recent political and administrative division.
According to the Press Service of the Presidency of the Republic, the President will be accompanied by a delegation composed of several ministers and other central administration officials, in an activity aimed at providing an overall and comprehensive overview of the much that remains to be done to establish the new territorial unit.
The program essentially provides direct contact with the areas where the future city of Mavinga (capital of Cuando), will be built, with all the infrastructure required for a provincial capital, from the Government Palace to the array of facilities required for the regular functioning of a city of this nature.
President João Lourenço will also consult with local figures and chair a meeting with the government of the new province.
