Speaking at the event commemorating the 31st anniversary of the institutionalization of the body, he considered it important to involve society in actions to combat corruption in public administration, with the denouncement of possible cases.

For this purpose, he said, the IGAE made available the Call Center, with the number 119, with a view to also combating acts of public impropriety and bad practices, with a focus on preventing corruption and promoting good governance.

The official said that the promotion of good governance also involves pedagogical actions, in interaction with public administration bodies in favor of transparency and the improvement of services provided to citizens.

Augusto Fernandes da Piedade also highlighted that the celebration of the date serves to ensure that the State’s local administration bodies observe good practices and transparency in the management of public affairs.

IGAE reinforces good administrative practices

In turn, the governor of Huambo province, Lotti Nolika, highlighted the importance of the IGAE in the general inspection of State activities, over its 31 years of existence, as it has contributed to strengthening good practices and transparency in the administration. public.

The official encouraged the professionals of this body to continue to exercise their activity with zeal and dedication, without forgetting to take into account the very influential pedagogical issues in achieving the main objectives for which they were created.

The 31st anniversary of the General Inspectorate of State Administration (IGAE) took place under the motto “Strengthening good practices and transparency in public administration”.

The IGAE is an auxiliary body of the Executive, with the aim of carrying out administrative internal control of the public administration, through inspection, supervision, auditing, supervision, control, investigation and investigations of all bodies, agencies and services of direct and indirect administration. of the State, as well as the autonomous administrations.

It also has the mission of preventing and detecting fraud, acts of corruption and impropriety, irregularities, misconduct on the part of public officials or administrative agents who compose them, as well as the defense of public assets and strengthening of integrity and transparency in the management of public goods.
