Africa-Press – Angola. The future Integrated Technical-Professional Training Center (CINFOTEC) in Huambo, with 95 percent physical construction, could be inaugurated next October, according to the director general of the institution, Manuel Bole.

The official presented this possibility to the press, at the end of a visit to the development under construction since February 2021, in the company of the governor of Huambo province, Lotti Nolika.

The infrastructure, under construction in an area of ​​6,531, 17 square meters, within the framework of bilateral cooperation between Angola and the Republic of China, is the second in the country, after Luanda, with an investment of over US$30 million North Americans.

Belonging to the Ministry of Public Administration, Work and Social Security (MAPTSS), the center will have a capacity for 710 trainees per shift in Information and Communication Technology (ICTs), Electricity and Mechatronics, Metrology, Mechanics and Production courses.

Manuel Bole was satisfied with the progress of the work, which is now at a very advanced stage, with the workshop equipment ready to be unpacked and installed.

He referred that this situation encourages everyone, due to the fact that the inauguration of the center is foreseen for next October.

From a technical point of view, he said that nine CINFOTEC trainers are in the infrastructure receiving specialized training from the Chinese, in a process that will end with their displacement, at the end of the current month, abroad, for a period of 15 days. , to better provide a formative response to the centre.

For her part, the governor of the province of Huambo, Lotti Nolika, was satisfied with the fact that the work was in the final stretch, lacking some technical aspects to be resolved, for which there are already solutions.

He said that, at the moment, the expansion of the asphalt on the access road to the building is being negotiated, while other impasses have already been discussed, with precise guidelines, so that the work is inaugurated in the foreseen period.

From the explanations received from the contractor, the difficulties with electricity and drinking water for the building have been overcome, with gardening, technical fiber optic network, expansion of the access road and others to be discussed in the next few days.

The center will have a capacity for 38 trainers, 35 administrative staff and 34 assistants. The building has three blocks, two for laboratories and one for administration, 36 workshops, a machine room and a multipurpose field.
