Africa-Press – Angola. The telecommunications company “Infrasat” presented this Monday, in the province of Benguela, new products and services that will bring value-added solutions to various sectors of the country’s economy.
In a workshop held in the municipality of Catumbela, the President of the Board of Directors of Infrasat, Diogo de Carvalho, stated that the company intends to expand and grow, which is why he came to the province of Benguela to show how new services work in the areas of Health, Education , Agriculture, Fisheries and Industry.
There, those present were informed that for Health, the service is called Infra Saúde and was implemented for telemedicine, designed especially for public and private hospitals.
For Education, called Intra Educa, it was designed for educational institutions that intend to expand their geographic coverage, without the need for large physical infrastructures.
Regarding Industry, the service is called Infra Industry, the solution is designed to meet the rigorous demand of companies in the industrial sector, with a view to transforming and optimizing logistical operations in industrial facilities, aiming to increase efficiency, reduce operational costs and promote sustainable practices, focusing on modernization and integration of advanced technologies.
As for Agriculture, Infra Agro aims to improve the efficiency, productivity and sustainability of the sector, offering a wide range of technologies and innovations that can be applied at different stages of the process, such as precision agriculture.
Diogo de Carvalho gave an example of how to diagnose soils, stating that “in these cases, the satellite is used to map the land and check its moisture content, in order to provide the farmer with more precise information so that he can know the best will be able to plant.”
“Infrasat is a company that emerged more than fifteen years ago in the national market and already has services throughout the country. We intend to expand and grow, which is why we are here to present various solutions in the areas of Health, Education, Agriculture, Fishing and Industry”, he informed.
He added that the company is promoting workshops, starting in the provinces with the highest development rate, having already passed through Namibe and Huíla.
“Traditionally, Infrasat provides internet, data, voice, screening and television services, but we want to improve and to achieve this, we are forming partnerships that bring us added value”, he stated.
Infrasat’s mission is to provide products and services that provide communication between companies and people, shortening distances, minimizing info-exclusion and actively contributing to the socioeconomic development of Angola.
