Africa-Press – Angola. Young Filipe Kameya was elected Monday, to the position of first provincial secretary of JMPLA in Huíla, during the III Extraordinary Meeting, which brought together 86% of the 105 members.
The young politician performed the role of 2nd provincial secretary, ran alone and replaces Ilda Martins, who directed the destinies of JMPLA since 2019 and who leaves the position as a deputy elected in 2022, and therefore discontinues, within the framework of resolution number 01 of the Bureau MPLA politician.
At the same event, Cecília Jamba Palata was also elected, with 98.6% of the votes. for the role of second secretary of the JMPLA provincial committee and Faustino Gonga as the new secretary of the body’s administration and finance department.
The elected provincial secretary, in his inaugural speech, promised to continue the actions started in 2019, within the programmatic plan and other governing documents of the organization, as well as to deepen cohesion among the activists.
Bringing JMPLA structures closer together at different levels, in the various segments of youth and reinforcing their engagement in the literacy process, aiming to make a social contribution to reducing youth unemployment rates, are other focuses of the newly elected leader.
He also pointed out that the ideological and patriotic political training of JMPLA militants and cadres is a fundamental basis for solidifying the quality of militants and young people, hence the reinforcement of their action is necessary, as this will encourage the engagement of cadres and militants. in the analysis of the main issues that young people struggle with.
In turn, the second provincial secretary of the MPLA in Huíla, José Arão Chissonde, stated that the JMPLA is the Party’s breeding ground and that every young person in the organization must be prepared to take on the challenges of the group, the party, as well as the Government supported by MPLA.
“Mandates are not always carried out to the end, due to staff mobility and young people must be prepared in cases where mandates are interrupted”, he said.
The event was, among other entities, witnessed by the secretary of the Department of Political and Patriotic Education, Carlos Pedro, on behalf of the National Secretary of JMPLA, Crispiniano dos Santos.
The JMPLA in the province of Huíla has 107 thousand 588 members, of which 42 thousand 169 are women, distributed in four thousand 464 grassroots organizations.
