Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, spoke on Friday by telephone from Cazombo, Moxico Leste, with his counterpart from the Comoros, Azali Assoumani.
The strengthening of bilateral relations was the main topic of conversation.
Also, in another telephone call, President João Lourenço spoke with the President of the Republic of Burundi, Evariste Ndayishimiye.
In this second meeting, President João Lourenço, in his capacity as acting President of the African Union, appointed his Burundian counterpart to represent the continental political organization at the third United Nations Conference on the Oceans, which will take place next week in the French city of Nice.
Burundi holds the Vice-Presidency of the Bureau of the Assembly of the African Union.
