The Superior Council of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (CSMMP) has opened a public competition to fill nine vacancies in the category of deputy attorney general of the Republic.The president of the Superior Council of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (CSMMP), Hélder Pitta Gróz, appointed the deputy attorney general of the Republic Celestino Paulo Benguela to preside over the jury committee responsible for preparing and organizing the process of reception, processing, communication and decision of the public curricular competition.
According to resolution no. 103/24 of the CSMMP, signed by its president, Celestino Benguela will have Domingos Joaquim as vice-president, while Beatriz Buiti Lombo will occupy the role of first member.
The vice-president of the jury committee holds the position of deputy attorney general of the Republic and member of the CSMMP, while the member is a lawyer from the same institution.
Deputy Attorneys General of the Republic Vanda das Dores Lima and Pedro Cola will serve as second and third members of the jury committee.
According to the CSMMP resolution, the jurist and member of the CSMMP Yara Gracinda de Carvalho will occupy the position of first alternate member of the jury commission, while the deputy attorney general of the Republic Lucas Ramo dos Santos was appointed as second alternate member.
Hélder Pitta Gróz also appointed the prosecutor and executive secretary of the Superior Council of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, Adalberto Teleia Luacuti, as a member of the same jury committee.
According to the CSMMP resolution, chaired by Hélder Pitta Gróz, the public tender must be held within 90 days, counting from the date of publication of the advertisement, with a validity of one year.
The Plenary of the CSMMP, as stated in Resolution no. 103/24, met in ordinary session on the 2nd of this month, having decided to appoint the jury committee for the public competition, under the terms of no. 2, of article 190, of the Constitution of the Republic, in conjunction with article 135, of Law no. 22/12, of August 14, – Organic Law of the Attorney General’s Office and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, as well as with paragraph I) of article 20 of Law no. 15/11, of March 18 – Law of the Superior Council of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
At the same collegiate meeting, the Regulations for the Public Curricular Competition for the provision of nine vacancies for the category of Deputy Attorney General of the Republic were approved.
Requirements
The following may apply for the public competition: Deputy Attorneys General of the Republic, with a minimum of three years of effective service in the category, Attorneys of the Republic with more than 10 years of professional experience, judges and appellate judges, as well as judges of Law with more than 13 years of service.
In addition to these professionals, lawyers and university professors, both with more than 20 years of professional experience, may also apply.
To submit an application, university professors must present a confirmation report from the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) where they teach.
Formalization of applications
To submit their applications, candidates must submit an application addressed to the President of the Superior Council of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, a photocopy of their Identity Card, Curriculum Vitae, a declaration of length of service, an assessment of professional merit for the last three years, a document attesting to the absence of disciplinary sanctions for candidate lawyers in the last three years, proof from the institution regarding professional prestige for university teaching candidates and any other proof that may support the application.

According to the Regulation of the Public Curricular Competition for the provision of the category of Deputy Attorney General of the Republic, the application must be submitted in an individual and duly sealed envelope within 10 working days, counting from the date of formal publication of the opening of the public competition, or sent to the email address [email protected].
In addition to email, candidates can submit their applications to the Executive Secretariat of the Superior Council of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, located in the Palace of Justice, on the 5th floor, Cidade Alta, in Luanda.
