Africa-Press – Angola. Justice and legality in Public Administration are the focus of Ombudsman Week, which takes place from April 19 to 28 throughout the country, as part of the celebrations of the institution’s 21st anniversary.

Under the motto “Ombudsman: Consolidating Justice and Legality in Public Administration,” the initiative promotes awareness and reflection on the role of the Ombudsman in defending the rights, freedoms, and guarantees of citizens.

The main event is scheduled for April 22, at the Auditorium of the Palace of Justice in Luanda, and is expected to include the participation of national and international guests.

During the event, participants will address topics related to the promotion of administrative justice, the strengthening of the Democratic State and the Rule of Law, and the improvement of the relationship between Public Administration and citizens.

Ombudsman Week also provides an opportunity to strengthen civic awareness and highlight the institution’s role in mediating conflicts and safeguarding the rule of law.

The initiative is part of an ongoing effort to consolidate democratic institutions and promote governance based on transparency, accountability, and respect for fundamental rights.
