Africa-Press – Angola. Angola will host, on June 5th and 6th of the present year, the Second Conference of Civil Aviation Professionals (CPAC) of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP), in order to promote the integration of workers in the sector within the Portuguese language space.
The information was made official on Monday (5), in Luanda, by the director of the event’s organizing company, CMS – Soluções Aéreas, Custódio Sabão, during a press conference officially presenting the event, which will be attended by representatives from the 9 CPLP member States.
Custódio Sabão explained that the CPAC is a project conceived by young people from the CPLP countries and is promoted by CMS – Soluções Aéreas, based on an integrated strategic vision grounded in the technical, commercial, and operational pillars of civil aviation.
“This is an initiative that stems from the concrete need for a structured platform for dialogue, capacity building, knowledge sharing, and the construction of sustainable solutions for the sector, in an increasingly demanding, competitive, and globalized context,” the official said.
He added that promoting CPAC is part of the commitment to developing human capital, strengthening institutions, and boosting the civil aviation ecosystem, not only in Angola but throughout the community.
According to the official, the CPAC’s 1st Edition, held in 2025, confirmed the relevance of this vision and was attended by 590 participants and 32 speakers from different segments of civil aviation, consolidating the event as an emerging reference in the technical and strategic debate of the sector.
He added that at least 62 speakers from the 9 CPLP countries and an estimated audience of more than three thousand participants, including professionals, public and private institutions, operators, regulators, academics, and partners, will participate in the second conference.
