Africa-Press – Angola. A round table on the “Battle of Cuito Cuanavale (1987-1988)” will be held on Wednesday, 22nd, in Luanda, in reference to 23rd March, Liberation Day of Southern Africa.
The town of Sá Maria in the city of Cuito, province of Bié, was the scene of the famous 1988 battle in which the Popular Armed Forces for the Liberation of Angola (FAPLA) expelled South African troops from national territory.
