Luísa Damião talks about "safe steps" in Lunda Sul

Africa-Press – Angola. MPLA vice-president, Luísa Damião, stated(Saturday) that the province of Lunda Sul is taking “solid and safe steps” to continue improving the living conditions of the region’s inhabitants.

Luísa Damião was speaking to the press at the end of inspection visits to various economic and social infrastructures in the province of Lunda Sul.

The vice-president of the MPLA was in contact with the works on the National Roads (230 and 180), the photovoltaic plant, the university center and the bridge over the Muanguês river, all in the capital (Saurimo) and scheduled for completion in 2024.

The leader hopes that when the ongoing works are completed they will bring a better quality of life to the inhabitants of the province, more road mobility, as well as an improvement in the movement of people and goods.

As for the university hub, Luísa Damião said it was an opportunity for young people to increase their knowledge and continue to contribute to the country’s growth.

The main objective, he continued, is to walk on the path of progress, always looking at the well-being of Angolan families.

He stated, on the occasion, that the party’s great challenges require the contribution of Angolan youth who must use their talent and knowledge in favor of cultural and social transformations.

Luísa Damião understands that to achieve this, young people need to participate more in the country’s development process, with creative and innovative ideas.

The vice-president said that she had found a strong party in Lunda Sul, with motivated, organized activists and a desire to continue complying with the direction of the leadership and the MPLA’s political agenda.

He informed that the party in power in Angola will continue to have its intermediate structures strengthened, in addition to investing in strengthening political work.

In her statements, Luísa Damião highlighted the importance of strengthening unity and cohesion within the party, to continue to achieve triumphs and consolidate peace among Angolans.
