Africa-Press – Angola. The province of Malanje will have, in the medium term, a racetrack for car and motorcycling events, in the Voanvoala neighbourhood, as part of a project by the Provincial Association of Motor Sports.
Construction work on the property, in the vicinity of the Palanca Negra Gigante Pavilion, in this city, should start later this year, and has already received the favorable opinion of the local Government.
According to the president of the board of the Provincial Association of Motorized Sports, Júlio de Oliveira, the infrastructure, to be built in an area of 15 hectares, foresees catering services and other valences.
The person in charge did not specify the amount to be used in the construction of the contract, adding only that the racetrack will have a main track of four kilometers for motor racing, motorcycling and others for motocross.
Luanda and Benguela are the only two provinces with an autodrome.
