Africa-Press – Angola. The first edition of the “Luanda Crafts Fair 2023″ will take place from the 27th to the 30th of the current month, at Praça da Independência, in an initiative by Mbaxi Eventos”.

This Monday, the organization’s member, Cláudio Patrício, said that the fair aims to promote and disseminate Angolan crafts, the exchange between artists in a business space, with support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and of the Provincial Government of Luanda.

The event will also promote live folk music shows, workshops in which artisans will explain about the production of pieces, thus becoming a fair in the sense of culture and tourism, involving catering services.

He stated that the idea is to bring together up to 150 exhibitors, of which 50 will be artisans and the remaining 100 will be food vendors, African fashion and the Rastafari community.

In addition to Luanda, exhibitors come from the provinces of Bié, Uíge, Cuanza Norte, Malanje and Lundas Sul and Norte.

The fair also intends to celebrate September 17th, the Day of the National Hero, António Agostinho Neto.
