Africa-Press – Angola. The faithful of the United Methodist Church, in the Hoji-Ya-Henda Urban District, Cazenga municipality, in Luanda, have since Sunday, a new temple (Cargo Pastoral São Paulo), with capacity for 1,500 believers.
The construction of the temple, inaugurated by Bishop Gaspar Domingos, resulted from the contribution of the faithful and lasted 10 years.
In statements to the press, the bishop said that the church is open to share moments of happiness with the people, stressing that the temple is a place for believers to seek moral and civic education, to rescue values that are being lost.
Gaspar João Domingos said that the inauguration of the new temple is a reason for thanksgiving and said that the church is placed in the community as a beacon that has the mission of illuminating.
For the bishop, the Church as a partner of the State has the mission of appeasing, harmonizing “and it cannot be lacking in communities, so that every citizen who feels the need and interest in God will find comfort. several support compartments, in addition to the prayer space. The works cost around 82 million Kwanzas.
