Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, said this Friday, in Luanda, that Rede Girassol is a significant milestone in the advance of the sector’s universe in the country.
According to the government official, who was speaking during the inauguration of the Girassol Multiplataform Center, the network, by uniting radio, television, social networks and a news portal under the same platform, is building an integrated means of communication, becoming one more of Angola’s voices to the world.
According to Mário Oliveira, the Multiplataforma Girassol Center also represents a beacon of technological innovation and professional excellence.
For the minister, the use of state-of-the-art technologies, the production of diversified content, the dissemination of accurate and reliable information should be the pillars of Rede Girassol.
“The Girassol Network is a living testimony of our desire to empower the present generation with access to information and knowledge, preparing them for a bright future for our country”, said the minister.
With the inauguration of the Girassol Multiplataform Central, all administrative services and the technology and content structure, namely television, radio, portal and social networks, will start operating in these facilities.
This network also launched friday the news portal giranotícias.
With the new platform, the group will carry information in multiple formats – text, videos, podcasts, videocasts, photographs, lives and bulletins, as well as some content from TV Girassol and Girassol FM, among others.
The company’s first platform to go live was its social networks, starting in June 2022, followed by Girassol FM, in July, and TV Girassol, in November of the same year.
The Girassol Multiplataform Center was built in an area of 45,000 square meters, and includes buildings for administration, support services and three studios equipped with high-definition technology, as well as an auditorium-studio, with capacity for 165 people.
