The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, this Wednesday, on the sidelines of the 10th Summit of Heads of State and Government of Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (OEACP) encouraged people of African descent from the diaspora to consider the continent as an opportunity to that can play an important role in the emancipation of Africa.
“We encourage people of African descent from the Diaspora to consider the continent as an opportunity and that they can play a leading role both in the emancipation of Africa and, together with their countries of residence, in the promotion and execution of development programs in the most varied countries of the continent, mainly in the social, economic and cultural domains”, began by saying Téte António in the note sent.
“Like what happens in other parts of the world, Africans from the Diaspora must actively contribute to the economic life of the continent”, he continued.
“The moment is propitious for a resurgence of the African diasporas”, stressed the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
