Africa-Press – Angola. The Head of Angolan diplomacy, Téte António, traveled this Saturday morning to Bangui, in the Central African Republic, to participate in the Monitoring Meeting on the Implementation of the Luanda Roadmap for Peace and Security in CAR.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the participation of Minister Téte António in this event is part of the mandate given at the 3rd Mini Summit of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (CIRGL) dedicated to Peace and Security in CAR, held in Luanda on September 16, 2021.
These diplomatic entities are responsible for working together, when necessary, with the authorities of CAR, as well as the CIRGL Secretariat and the ECCAS Commission in the various aspects related to the successful execution of the Joint Roadmap for Peace in CAR, in particular the creation of favorable conditions for the successful implementation of the Disarmament, Demobilization, Reinsertion and Repatriation (DDRR) process.
Other international partners of the Central African Republic are also expected to participate in this meeting, such as the United Nations Integrated Multidimensional Mission for the Stabilization of the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), the African Union, the European Union, among others.
The Central African Republic is a country located in central Africa, bordered on the north by Chad, on the northeast by Sudan, on the east by South Sudan, on the south by the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Congo, and on the west by Cameroon. .
