Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Filipe Zau, this Tuesday appealed to the artistic community to show more solidarity with the Angolan musician and composer Elias José Francisco “Elias Diá Kimuezo”.
The minister, who was speaking at the end of the courtesy visit to the icon of Angolan music, referred that the solidarity movement must be limited to permanent conversations, accompanied by moments of musical instrumentation, in order to make their time more precious.
Filipe Zau said that it was a visit of solidarity and verification of his state of health, also caused by his advanced age.
“Elias is one of the greatest cultural and musical references in our country, an icon and I could not fail to come here, not as a minister but as a musician and professional colleague and associates of UNAC”, he said.
Filipe Zau, despite considering the state of health of the King of Angolan music to be normal, being 87 years old, did not fail to show concern about this reality.
During his stay, the minister promised to deliver a walker and a cane, instruments that will facilitate his locomotion, as well as an amount for the purchase of medicines.
In turn, the musician was pleased with the visit and thanked the gesture of solidarity.
