Africa-Press – Angola. The Ministry of Transport (MINTRANS) holds its 17th Consultative Council on the 11th and 12th of the ongoing month, in the city of Lubango, southern province of Huíla, under the theme “Angola 50 Years: Connectivity, Integration, and Innovation for a Diversified and Sustainable Economy.”

According to the institution’s program, on Tuesday (09), the first day of work will be marked by the presentation of the summary report of the recommendations issued by the technical council of the MINTRANS subsectors.

On the same day, topics such as digitalization and automation in transport and logistics, technological infrastructure to support modernization in the transport sector, and technologies applied to transport and logistics will be discussed.

The agenda also includes an approach to integrated digitalization and intelligent security solutions for transport and logistics infrastructures, digital platforms and interoperability, as well as the topic of integrated infrastructures for inclusive growth, among other topics.

During the event, a roundtable discussion will also be held on the theme “Unlocking the Potential of Intermodality and Connectivity, Integration, and Innovation for a Diversified and Sustainable Economy.”

The second day will discuss topics such as sustainability, security and regional connectivity, open skies and regional air connectivity – opportunities in SAATM, aviation and sustainability: preparing Angola for the next 50 years, as well as stimulating the private sector, access to regional runways and air tourism, among other scheduled topics.

All companies and institutions overseen by the Ministry of Transport participate in the 17th advisory council, which will be led by the Minister of Transport, Ricardo D’Abreu.
