Africa-Press – Angola. A workshop on the “Mobilization of Institutional Investment in infrastructures in Angola” will take place this Tuesday, in Luanda, within the scope of the “Joint EU-UNCTAD Program for Angola: Train for Trade II”.

According to a press release, the event will focus on transport and logistics infrastructure, and how to maximize impact by integrating sustainable development into institutional investors’ investment decisions. The objective of the event is to support the efforts of the Angolan Government to mobilize long-term institutional investments for the branch with a focus on transport and logistics infrastructures to support the development of the country’s green sectors and the diversification of the economy and exports, as refers to the document. According to the same source, the event is being financed by the European Union (EU), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), in partnership with the Sovereign Fund of Angola (FSDEA).

The event will be attended by UNCTAD experts with extensive experience in matters of mobilizing institutional and related investments, as well as senior officials from relevant Ministries in Angola and international experts, to discuss opportunities, challenges and investment strategies in infrastructure, in ways to make the sector more attractive, particularly foreign, according to the document.
