Africa-Press – Angola. The municipality of Cabo Ledo, municipality of Quiçama, will be able to benefit, until 2024, from electricity from the public network, announced Saturday, in that district, the first municipal secretary of the MPLA, Augusto Cambudo.

With an estimated population of 12,086 inhabitants, distributed in 27 districts, the commune is currently supplied by two generators of 1000 KVA each, which bring electricity to homes only in the communal seat.

Augusto Cambudo, who was speaking at the mass act in support of President João Lourenço, said that this electrification project for the Cabo Lendo commune is a clear sign of the governance concern supported by the MPLA.

“With this, the party gives evidence that the promises made in the current five-year period, of its mandate, are to be fulfilled, as already happens with the beginning of the works of the basilica of Muxima”, specified the politician.

He appealed to youth, commitment to the country, dedication to academic, technical and professional training, as the future and continuity of the nation depend on them.

On the other hand, he highlighted the achievements of the Executive, tending to reduce dependence on oil, with the focus on diversifying the economy, having agriculture as a base.

He reinforced that the MPLA remains committed to combating corruption, nepotism and impunity, evils that plague society.
