Africa-Press – Angola. The first provincial secretary of the MPLA, Marcos Nhunga Saturday, in this city, appealed to citizens in the sense of remaining serene and confident in the actions of the Executive aimed at resolving the country’s social problems.
According to the leader, who was speaking at a political event, the party is aware of the difficulties that the country is facing, as a result of the global economic crises, which is why it is working with a sense of State and in a patriotic way in leading the destinies of the nation and the improving people’s well-being.
He pointed out actions aimed at the development of the education, health, road and other sectors, which are carried out in a wise way, for which reason he condemned all sabotage attempts carried out by certain party forces, within the framework of political challenges.
However, he reiterated the appeal to MPLA militants, friends and supporters and the population in general, not to be deceived by these practices, especially certain promises and attempts to remove the President of the Republic.
He stressed that the party will continue to preserve democracy and the maintenance of the democratic State and the rule of law, under the terms of the Constitution and the Law, living up to the mandate of President João Lourenço, attributed by the people through the vote.
“We will do everything to stop any attempt to subvert the country’s progress and we call on MPLA militants and friends to unite and respect public institutions”, he maintained, stressing the reinforcement of the party’s internal unity and cohesion and vigilance around by President João Lourenço.
In a message, the Provincial Secretariat of OMA reiterates the support of women in favor of the leadership of the party and its President.
She emphasizes that women are aware that the economic policies in action will have their positive effects in the medium and long term in a sustainable way, which is why they aim patiently and with certainty for better days.
JMPLA’s message praises the role of President João Lourenço and the Executive’s actions tend towards political stability and the well-being of the Angolan people, towards the construction of a strong country.
It highlights the need to put an end to acts of riots and other subversive behavior that jeopardize social stability, therefore, there is an urgent need for vigilance to maintain peace.
The mass political act was preceded by a march in support of the President of the party and of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço and was attended by MPLA leaders, militants, deputies, friends and supporters, as well as traditional, religious and citizens from other social strata.
