Africa-Press – Angola. The first provincial secretary of the MPLA in Zaire, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, this Saturday, in the town of Tomboco, exhorted the party leaders and cadres to work hard to revitalize the basic structures in all municipalities in the region.

Speaking at the opening session of the 2nd ordinary meeting of the Provincial Committee of the Party, the leader said that the growth of the militant base constitutes one of the priorities of the political action of the MPLA in the province for this year.

By the way, he exhorted MPLA, JMPLA and OMA militants to redouble awareness and mobilization actions for the entry of more militants into the ranks of the party.

For the materialization of this desire, the first provincial secretary of the “comrades” party called for unity among the party’s militants, especially among the leaders and cadres that make up the Provincial Committee.

On the other hand, he appealed to the party’s cadres who hold positions in the Government to refrain from bad practices that could compromise the image of the MPLA and its leaders.

Adriano Mendes de Carvalho reaffirmed his party’s engagement in carrying out structural works to gradually improve the quality of life of the population of Zaire.

Participating in this 2nd ordinary meeting of the party, which is being attended by the deputy coordinator of the monitoring group of the Secretariat of the Political Bureau of the MPLA to the province of Zaire, Leonel Martins, are 109 members of the Provincial Committee.

The meeting ends yesterday.
