MPLA reiterates need to reinforce base in Huíla

Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretary of the MPLA in Huíla, Nuno Mahapi Dala, urged Saturday, in Lubango, the militants to engage “hard” in the mobilization campaign, so that good results are obtained in the intention of strengthening their structures of basis, given the current challenges.

Speaking at the assembly of militants held in the Comercial district, the politician stated that the MPLA’s mission is to clarify the population about the achievements so far achieved by the Government, especially the Intervention Programs in Municipalities, Public Investments and Combating Poverty.

He considered that the MPLA never abandoned the people, it was always by their side, regardless of the “turbulent” moments that devastated and continue to devastate the country.

He also recognized the high cost of living, resulting from the rise in prices of the basic food basket, as well as the level of unemployment, in addition to the low wages of Former Combatants and veterans of the Homeland that do not correspond to the current economic and social moment, but ensures that there are efforts to reverse the situation.

He reaffirmed the Party’s commitment to work on improving the living conditions of the population in all sectors.

However, he stressed that a true militant and friend of the MPLA never gives up his fights and cannot discredit his abilities to overcome the obstacles imposed by socioeconomic circumstances, so he must remain firm until victories are achieved.

“It is imperative that MPLA militants are engaged in the fight against corruption, nepotism and flattery, in order to guarantee the safety and well-being of all, each militant must denounce in assembly when he notices that a high leader has put his familiar. We need to fix this, immediately,” he appealed.

The Militant Assembly served to revitalize the Action Committees, outline measures aimed at their growth.
