MPLA vice-president wants more commitment from activists in Lunda Sul

Africa-Press – Angola. The Vice-President of the MPLA, Luísa Damião, defended Friday, in Saurimo (Lunda Sul), greater commitment and dedication from the militants, with a view to the growth of the party.

The leader made these considerations at Deolinda Rodrigues airport, after landing in Saurimo, coming from the province of Moxico. She stated, at the time, that the party’s strength lies in its militant mass and youth.

As for his presence in Lunda Sul, he said that he aimed to demonstrate compliance with the political agenda and guidelines issued by the MPLA’s central leadership, as well as interacting with the intermediate and grassroots structures of the party.

Luísa Damião said that during the working visit she expects to see some social projects underway in the district and feel the impact of these actions on the life of the population.

He specified the execution of works on the photovoltaic plant, the Saurimo university centre, National Roads 230 and 180, as well as the bridge over the Mwanguêz River.

The program of activities, includes contacts with members and militants of the women’s (OMA) and youth (JMPLA) organizations of the MPLA party.

The agenda includes visits to the sector committees of the Candembe 1 and Cawazanga neighborhoods.

After Lunda Sul, where she completes a three-day journey, Luisa Damião should head to the neighboring province of Lunda Norte, with the same objective.

At Deolinda Rodrigues airport, the vice-president of the MPLA was received by the first provincial secretary of Lunda Sul, Daniel Neto.
