Africa-Press – Angola. The vice-president of the MPLA, Luisa Damião, arrived this Sunday afternoon in the city of Dundo, capital of the province of Lunda Norte, where she will learn about the social, economic and political situation of the district for 72 hours.
Received at Kamaquenzo airport by the party’s first provincial secretary, Deolinda Vilarinho and activists, Luisa Damião will this afternoon lead a meeting of the local committee, where a memorandum will be presented on the MPLA’s situation in the province.
Speaking to the press, the vice-president said that she will find out about the fulfillment of the party’s political agenda, the social projects that impact the lives of the population and, together with the activists, find new dynamics in the implementation of the programs approved in the last elections.
“We also came to thank the support and trust that the people of Lunda Norte have given to the party and convey a message of hope and commitment from our party” he stressed.
On Monday, the second day of work, Luisa Damião will travel to the municipality of Lucapa, where she will guide an assembly of activists, as well as visit the works on the Chitato multipurpose pavilion and the drainage of ravines in the urban districts of Dundo and Mussungue .
On the third day, the leader will visit the rehabilitation and expansion works of the Luachimo hydroelectric dam and the Dundo Regional Museum.
The vice-president made a similar visit to the province of Lunda Sul.
