Africa-Press – Angola. The focus on food made from national products leads the preference of many families in the province of Moxico to fill the “banquet” during the festive season.
In a round carried out, at the Baúca market, the largest in the province, located on the outskirts of Luena, it was noted the high level of demand for foods such as mushrooms, game meat, freshwater fish, different types of potatoes, with with a view to filling and delighting family meals during this period.
Leaving the table very refined with local delicacies, such as the production of kissangua and mukua juice, is the strategy that will be chosen by Mrs. Ana Tchilombo, 58 years old, with a view to bringing the family together in the same space.
He understands that, in addition to being more “delicious”, many national products are cheaper, a factor that will allow for cost containment, with the aim of facilitating the satisfaction of other needs.
“Christmas is a particularly lively time, so the lack of cod cannot discourage us, because we have several alternatives”, he said.
In turn, the couple Mário and Graciana Tchihinga told that the option for rural products is because they are more accessible to all budgets, making savings easier, taking into account the current context.
Along with the markets, in the main arteries of the city of Luena the scene is very calm.
