Africa-Press – Angola. The most recent work by writer Ras Nguimba Ngola, entitled “In Muzondo under the Mystic Look of the Moon”, will be released next Saturday at the Angolan Writers Union (UEA).
Under the seal of the publisher Palavra&Arte, the work, in the poetry genre, will be presented by the poet and literary critic Abreu Paxe.
According to the writer, in “Em Muzondo sob o Olhar Místico da Lua” he searches for the aesthetics of free verse, whose concern and delivery makes the words dense and expressive. The book is divided into moments, with a diversity of themes. a recurring theme in his work and this time he follows the rule, as in other subjects related to social problems.
About the book’s inspiration, the writer explains that it results from his constant visits to a peasant neighborhood called Muzondo, which is located after Panguila, in Bengo province.
“It inspired us to think, cogitate, reflect, ramble on many matters in life. We have the metaphorical presence of the moon, the sea, the flower and the homeland”, the author advances.
Ras Nguimba Ngola is the literary pseudonym of Isalino Nguimba da Cruz Au-gusto. He published “Mátria”, in 2009, by Arte Viva, “E Lá Fora os Dogs” in 2014, by Grecima, and “Pegadas Íntimas”, in 2016. the Youth Brigade of Angolan Literature (BJLA), the National Club of Poets and Troubadours and the Association of the Movement of the Rastafari Order in Angola (AMORA).
