Africa-Press – Angola. One thousand and 86 professional kits were delivered during 2022 to young people in the six municipalities of Cunene province, within the scope of the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE).
According to the director of INEFOP in Cunene, Jackson Lomboleni, the means delivered include locksmith, electricity, carpentry, pastry, agriculture, manicure, barbershop and hairdresser kits, allowing for the creation of 2,470 direct jobs.
In a statement, he clarified that the PAPE in Cunene was launched in June 2021, where the first 254 kits were assigned.
He added that with the delivery of these professional kits, the Executive intends to create more opportunities for the insertion of young people in the labor market.
He made it known that 240 young people benefited from micro-credit worth US$1,500, equivalent in kwanzas.
512 micro-companies were also formalized through the attribution of declarations of carrying out precarious economic activities, registration in the Social Security and General Tax Administration system.
Jackson Lomboleni said that 374 young people, aged between 17 and 40, benefited from short training of 15 to 30 days.
According to the official, the youths were trained within the framework of the “Programa Avança” component in courses on mounting satellite dishes, repairing generators and mobile phones, agriculture, kindergarten teachers and sewing.
There are also courses in domestic art and table and bar decoration, Disco Jockei, cooking and pastry, children’s decoration, manicure and pedicure, hairdressers, barbers and gardening, in order to enable them to create new businesses
Jackson Lomboleni praised the importance of the training action for qualifying young people and facilitating the creation of small businesses and service provision companies.
He highlighted the implementation of the program fundamentally in the promotion of employment, training of young entrepreneurs in the technical-professional fields, small business management, promotion of cooperativism, youth associations and the valuation of professions.
PAPE is a program approved by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, in decree 113/19, of April 16, under the Ministry of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security.
The Plan has a national scope, aims to encourage and support the spirit of initiative of entrepreneurs, mainly young people and women, to value the exercise of professions through the attribution of professional cards and to give internship opportunities to recently graduated citizens.
The emergence of micro and small companies, through the attribution of micro-credits, kits and work tools, as well as the improvement of the respective service provision environment, are also among the purposes of PAPE.
