Africa-Press – Angola. Angola’s Petro de Luanda won the 41st edition of the African Women’s Cup Winners’ Cup on Friday after defeating Al Ahly 29–18 in the final in Cairo, Egypt.
The Angolans led by six goals at halftime (16-10).
Another Angolan team, 1o de Agosto, finished third after defeating ASF Sahel of Tunisia 30–22.
Petro de Luanda returned home with two trophies after also winning the African Super Cup.
