Africa-Press – Angola. Eighteen billion kwanzas, of the 27 billion available for the implementation of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM), have been spent since 2020 to carry out various works of this social project.
The province of Cuanza Norte was contemplated with 86 actions, 75 at provincial level and 11 at the Central Executive, of which 43 have been completed.
Of the local projects, twenty-seven are in progress, four in the initial phase of construction and one at a standstill.
According to the technician from the Cabinet for Studies, Planning and Statistics (GEPE) of the Government of the province of Cuanza Norte, José Quinguari, these actions represent a physical execution of 84 percent and a financial one of 67.
The Education sector, with 30 projects, leads the list of actions, followed by Health with 16, communication routes with 12 and the other works are in the infrastructure sectors.
José Quinguari, who was speaking to the press this Monday about the implementation of the PIIM in the province, informed that these works allowed the creation of 1,265 jobs.
The official pointed out the shortage of building materials and the technical inability of some companies, as the main constraints for the completion of some PIIM works.
