Africa-Press – Angola. The second secretary of the MPLA Provincial Committee in Uíge, Pedro Augusto Conga, urged, this Friday, young university students to invest in mobilizing investments for the various sectors in the region.
The politician explained that the mobilization must be done through the dissemination of the agricultural, cultural potential and other resources existing in the region, a bet that will boost the development of the province.
Pedro Augusto Congo made this appeal at the farewell ceremony for young people who are going to the province of Huambo to participate in the 19th edition of the National Holiday Camp for University Students (CANFEU), an activity that will take place from the 25th to the 30th of this month.
He said that the exhibition that will be presented in the province of Huambo should serve as an incentive to attract investment in the province, noting that the region has arable land, good climate, tourist and cultural sites and other natural resources for its development.
In turn, the first provincial secretary of JMPLA, Faustino Simão Nguange, considered Canfeu a space for learning, unity, reflection, work and exchange of experience among young people from the country’s 18 provinces.
During the activity, students will debate “The impact of PIIM on the lives of the population, challenges of higher education in Angola, the importance of ethics in the moralization of society and the exercise of citizenship, the role of youth in the socio-economic development of Angola, agriculture as a basis for development and business opportunities and other topics.
The agenda also includes visits to historical and cultural sites, works with a social and economic impact, a training seminar, cultural activities that portray habits and customs practiced by the people of Uíge in the past.
