Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, this Tuesday congratulated the People and Government of the Republic of Benin on the celebration of the sixty-third anniversary of the National Independence of that West African country, which is celebrated (August 1 ).
In a message sent to the President of the Republic of Benin, Patrice Talon, the Angolan Head of State took the opportunity to express his desire to see bilateral relations continuously strengthened for the benefit of the progress of both countries.
In a second missive, sent to Alain Berset, President of the Swiss Confederation, President João Lourenço also congratulates the People and the Swiss Government on the National Day of the Swiss Confederation, which is also celebrated this Tuesday.
The President of the Republic mentions in the document that the Angolan State has the desire to develop joint actions with the Swiss authorities, with a view to deepening relations of friendship and cooperation in the most varied areas of common interest.
