Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, maintained contact this Wednesday, by telephone, with his counterpart from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Félix Tshisekedi, with a view to strengthening bilateral relations.
Regional issues also occupied the two Heads of State in the telephone conversation, according to a press release from the Presidency.
The Angolan Head of State attended, last Saturday, the inauguration ceremony of Félix Tshisekedi, re-elected for a second term as head of the DRC, which took place in the country’s capital, Kinshasa.
Invested on the 20th of this month, Tshisekedi won last December’s presidential elections, with more than 73% of the votes.
