Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, concluded this Thursday his two-day working visit to the province of Malanje, after learning about the region’s productive potential at the agricultural fair.

The Head of State, who has already left Malanje, heading to Luanda, visited the agricultural fair, which showcases the agricultural potential of the 14 municipalities in this region.

During his stay in the region, the President of the Republic also chaired the meeting with the Government of the Province of Malanje, which was attended by State ministers and ministers.

On the occasion, President João Lourenço announced the start of works for the construction of the centrality in the province of Malanje, with more than 2,500 homes, scheduled for the end of the year.

He also announced the construction of a Higher Institute of Agronomy, in the municipality of Cacuso, justifying the decision by the fact that the province is potentially agricultural.

President João’s work agenda included visits to Biocom, an Angolan company that produces, distributes and sells sugar, ethanol and electricity from biomass, as well as the Quizenga Lutete Farm, in the municipality of Cacuso.

At Biocom, João Lourenço visited the units of the agro-industrial giant’s production chain, from cutting sugar cane, through the sugar and ethanol processing area, to sugar storage.
