Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, expressed, this Wednesday, solidarity with the people of Libya, as a result of the flooding caused by Storm Daniel, which occurred on the 10th of this month.
In a message sent to his Libyan counterpart ,the Angolan statesman expresses his regret for the tragedy that befell Libyan territory.
“On behalf of the Angolan Executive and myself, I express to the victimized families the unfailing solidarity and the most heartfelt condolences at this dramatic hour for the Libyan people”, reads the message.
Available data show that the natural phenomenon caused more than 2,300 deaths and around seven thousand injuries in Derna, while more than five thousand people are missing.
