Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, encouraged the three new vice-governors, sworn in this Monday in Luanda, to contribute to the diversification of the national economy and the country’s socioeconomic development.
The incentive was made when inaugurating the new vice-governors of Luanda, for the Economic sector, Jorge Miguêns Augusto, of Malanje, for the Political, Social and Economic sector, Franco Cazembe Mufinda, and of Namibe for the Political, Social and Economic sector , Abel do Rosário Kapitango.
When addressing those present, during the ceremony, at the Presidential Palace, the Head of State highlighted the presence, among those inaugurated, of the former Minister of Health, Franco Cazembe Mufinda, as someone who stood out in the fight against Covid-19.
He stressed that currently the fight is no longer Covid-19, but for the diversification of the economy and the economic and social development of the country.
Along this path, he expressed his hope to the newly appointed officials to help the governors fulfill this responsibility that belongs to everyone.
He wished them success in carrying out the new roles they will be carrying out from today onwards.
