Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, travels, Monday (4th), to Equatorial Guinea, to participate in an extraordinary summit of the Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC).
A press release from the Presidential Palace informs that the ECCAS high-level meeting is the result of consultations held last Thursday in Oyo, Republic of Congo, between Presidents João Lourenço and Denis Sassou N’Guesso.
In the consultation, refers to the document that the need to convene an extraordinary summit of the ECCAS was assumed with the aim of providing the organization with leadership, in order to avoid the legal vacuum and to guarantee the continuity of its activities, taking into account events in the Gabonese Republic.
