Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, this Thursday appealed to the Executive to boost the national economy through the creation of wealth opportunities for companies and families, paying particular attention to the most vulnerable populations.
Speaking at the opening of the 9th Ordinary Plenary Meeting of the 1st Legislative Session of the V Legislature, Carolina Cerqueira reaffirmed the support of the 220 deputies in assessing, improving and approving the economic measures that are imposed in the current national scenario, which can contribute to improving the lives of all the Angolans.
Carolina Cerqueira asked the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano, who made his debut as head of the economic team at the Casa das Leis, that taking into account the current national context and for the good of the nation and the Angolan homeland, he selflessly contribute , with a sense of mission and the serenity that characterize it to respond to the immense challenges of the current national context.
José de Lima Massano was appointed Minister of State for Economic Coordination on 8 June.
Prior to his appointment, José de Lima Massano was dismissed, at his request, from the post of Governor of the National Bank of Angola, to which he had been appointed on December 7, 2022.
