Africa-Press – Angola. The Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, was received in audience, early this Monday night, by the President of Kenya, William Ruto, to whom she handed a missive from the Angolan counterpart, João Lawrence.

During the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the African Climate Summit, at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KCC), President William Rutu and the Vice-President of the Republic reviewed aspects related to cooperation between the two countries, in the most different domains.

In addition to Angola, the Kenyan President received other personalities participating in the Summit.

In 2014, Angola and Kenya signed the general agreement that contains legal instruments linked to political consultation, establishment of the joint commission and in the area of ​​transport.

On the Angolan side, through the Diplomatic Mission in Kenya, new areas of cooperation have already been identified, including education, tourism, agriculture and health.

With an estimated population of 51.044 million people, Kenya represents the largest economy in East Africa and the fifth largest economy in sub-Saharan Africa.
